1945: 1st "bug" in a computer program discovered by Grace Hopper, a moth was removed with tweasers from a relay & taped into the log…..seems like a onetime prank turned into a nightmare for future computer fans. (Knock on wood) I don’t recall every having a “bug”. How annoying that would be. I would definitely throw things…..JC
1950: 1st use of TV laugh track……the laugh track is the most annoying thing ever, especially when you’re watching something and you KNOW its there, and every time a “joke” is made, you recognize that it’s a bad joke, and that the laughter is fake. This reminds me of when you’re watching a stand up comedy show too, and when the act makes a joke, there’s loads of laughter, but no one in the audience is making any “laughing” movements at all. *shudders*…. 1979: Sid Bernstein offers blank cheque for a Beatle reunion…..he offered them any amount to play anywhere they wanted but they declined……KK
1991: Only 1,695 fans watch Boston Red Sox play Cleveland at old Municipal Stadium in Cleveland……the capacity was just over 74 thousand so you can imagine just how empty it was………KK
