Light the Way Walk/Run
Lachlan’s Light Canada Announces First Annual “Light the Way Walk/Run” to Support Bereaved Families
Lachlan’s Light Canada is a not‑for‑profit organization dedicated to creating safe, nurturing spaces for bereaved parents to find healing, community, and meaningful connection with their babies gone too soon. The organization offers supportive programming, grief‑focused retreats, and opportunities for parents to honour their children in tangible, heartfelt ways.
Rooted in lived experience, Lachlan’s Light Canada was founded to address a profound gap in local, accessible resources for pregnancy and infant loss. Their retreats and community activities provide trauma‑informed, compassionate environments where grieving parents can be supported while connecting deeply with others who understand their journey.
On May 3rd, they will host their first annual Light the Way Walk/Run that offers both 1 km and 5 km routes, inviting participants of all ages and abilities to come together in a spirit of remembrance, healing, and community. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Arboretum in Guelph, Ontario.
Every registration helps advance Lachlan’s Light Canada’s mission of providing compassionate support, connection, and community resources, at low to no cost, for families grieving the loss of a child. Funds raised will directly support retreats, programming, and memorial initiatives that offer comfort, connection, and healing for those navigating life after loss.
In addition to participants, Lachlan’s Light Canada is also seeking volunteers, as well as donations for participant swag bags, and business or in‑memory sponsorships to help make the event meaningful and accessible for all.
