School Cutlery Drive – Centennial CVI

Event Name: School Cutlery Drive

Event Date: Ongoing until the end of June

Start Time: Already started

End Time: End of June

Venue Location: Centennial CVI (Guelph High school)

Event Details: Hello! The Social Responsibility Council at Centennial CVI is currently in the process of hosting a cutlery drive to help with our efforts of creating a litter free cafeteria. Our goal is to replace the majority of single use, plastic take out containers with reusable plates, bowls, and silverware. The cutlery drive will hopefully help with three things: 1) Offsetting our costs of the plates and bowls with donated cutlery 2) Giving a new use to old, mismatched cutlery and 3) Bringing the community together to help reduce plastics and help the environment. We ask that anybody from Guelph who has old cutlery, in usable condition, to donate to our school to support our efforts in going green. There is a rain barrel in the front hall (main entrance) for donations. Donations will be accepted Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm. Thanks so much for considering.
