Parkinson’s Awareness Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Parkinson’s Awareness Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario (PSSO) presents the annual Flag Raising Ceremony to mark Parkinson’s Awareness Day. The event brings together the local community, including individuals living with Parkinson’s, carepartners, and supporters, to raise a special flag symbolizing hope, and solidarity.

Mayor Cam Guthrie and PSSO staff will share remarks, followed by the flag raising, a meaningful reminder that no one faces Parkinson’s alone. The ceremony celebrates courage, fosters community, and raises awareness of both the physical and emotional challenges of Parkinson’s.

This event is part of PSSO’s April Awareness Campaign, which highlights personal stories from the Parkinson’s community. These accounts showcase perseverance, strength, and the power of Real Stories, Real Strengths.
