Finding Nemo – in Exhibition Park

In an effort to keep parking available on Carden Street, this year’s Movies in the Square series, which offers a variety of family-friendly favourites, will show three movies on Wilson Street and one movie in Exhibition Park.

On Friday August 24, families, friends, and movie fans are invited to bring a lawn chair (and blankets if it’s cool out) and cozy up in Exhibition Park for a drive-in experience minus the car.

Marlin (Albert Brooks), a clown fish, is overly cautious with his son, Nemo (Alexander Gould), who has a foreshortened fin. When Nemo swims too close to the surface to prove himself, he is caught by a diver, and horrified Marlin must set out to find him. A blue reef fish named Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) — who has a really short memory — joins Marlin and complicates the encounters with sharks, jellyfish, and a host of ocean dangers. Meanwhile, Nemo plots his escape from a dentist’s fish tank.

This movie is rated G.

Seating for Movies in the Square is on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of inclement weather, the August 24 movie will be cancelled.
