NovemBurger, presented by Elinesky Schuett Private Wealth of RBC Dominion Securities, brings together the power of food and the power of giving back – it’s all about supporting local! Grab a burger, support a local restaurant, and give back all at the same time – that’s what we call a ‘win-win’!

$2 from every featured NovemBurger sold will be donated back to your local United Way to support food insecurity programs across Guelph, Wellington County & Dufferin County, funded through our From Poverty to Possibility and Rural Communities focus areas.

What awards can the restaurants win?
Participating restaurants can win 1 of 3 NovemBurger Awards!
1. Top NovemBurger of the Year Award: Available to Platinum restaurants only. Community Ambassadors (official judges) will visit each location and score the burgers based on 5 categories: Presentation; Taste; Originality/Creativity; Toppings/Sauces; Execution. The highest average score will determine the winner.
2. People’s Choice Award: Available to all restaurants. Restaurant goers can vote for their favourite NovemBurger online by visiting unitedwaygwd.com/novemburger.
3. Most NovemBurgers Sold: Available to all restaurants. Awarded to the restaurant that sells the most NovemBurgers during the month of November.
All NovemBurger Awards winners will be announced on Friday, December 6th.

Who are the NovemBurger Ambassadors?
There are 11 NovemBurger Ambassadors who will act as the official judges for Top NovemBurger of the Year. Ambassadors are members of the Guelph, Wellington & Dufferin communities, with a passion for community and/or food! Ambassadors will visit each restaurant to try their NovemBurger and cast their vote. Ambassadors will also be sharing their experiences on their social media accounts.

How does the community participate?
Community members can visit any of the participating restaurants and order the NovemBurger! $2 will be donated directly to United Way – no further donation is required! We encourage you to try as many as you can and then VOTE for your favourite at unitedwaygwd.com/novemburger.
If you’d like to keep track of the restaurants you visit, you can download our NovemBurger passport. Visit 5 or more restaurants, submit your passport at the end of the month, and you might be selected to be a NovemBurger ambassador in 2025!

Can I participate at my workplace?
Yes! Having a staff lunch or event at work? Order a NovemBurger take out order from any of the participating Platinum restaurant partners. $2 from every burger ordered will still be donated to United Way and you get a great team-building lunch!
