Fourth Friday: Rebecca Hass – Manaadjia: A Tribute to Rene Meshake takes place May 22 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Guelph Civic Museum.
The evening honours the life and legacy of Rene Meshake through music, storytelling, and visual art presented by Métis artist, opera singer, and composer Rebecca Hass.
Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Maawnjidyang Maa: We Come Together Here, the performance will feature original songs, teachings, and collaborative works inspired by the artistic relationship between Hass and Meshake. Guests will also experience a 30-foot outdoor projection of “The Archive of Steampunk Mishoomis” on the east-facing wall of St. Agnes School overlooking the museum entrance.
Admission by donation begins at 5 p.m., with the performance starting at 7 p.m.
