Event Details: Welcome to our second Toasty Toes Guelph campaign! Toasty Toes collects NEW WARM socks for those experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness in Guelph.
Last year was the first Toasty Toes Guelph campaign and it was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, we collected 7,781 pairs of socks!
The campaign collects new warm socks for men, women, and children in Guelph. Socks are an important clothing item and wet, torn, or worn out socks can lead to a multitude of foot-related health issues. New warm socks really do make a difference, especially as we go into the colder season – dry, warm feet are healthy feet.
Last year we provided the socks to 12 organizations in Guelph who distributed them to those in need. We will be providing socks from the Toasty Toes Guelph 2019 campaign to those same 12 organizations:

Dunara Homes for Recovery
Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis
Guelph Food Bank
John Howard Society (Guelph)
Wyndham House
Michael House
Parkwood Gardens Neighbourhood Group
Sanguen Health Community Van
West Willow Village Neighbourhood Group
The Drop In Centre
The campaign runs Oct.10/19 – Nov.10/19, kicking off on World Homeless Day. The socks will be distributed in late Nov.
