Event Details: Shelldale Family Gateway is thrilled to announce the release of our community-based book: Realizing the Dream – Better Beginnings, Better Futures in Guelph. The history of Shelldale Family Gateway is detailed by many who were involved through this new book. How the small group of residents started the community thrive to make a difference in lives of children and their families who face and overcome a number of socio-economic challenges.
Thank you Skyline Group of Companies for sponsoring the event. The Author of the book are Shelldale Better Beginnings Better Futures (Now is Shelldale Family Gateway) and Krysia P. Lear for completing the book and made it possible for us to share these wonderful experience and celebrate the successful outcome.
We hope this book is a very valuable example how important it is to build a strong community that could prevent violence and tragedy happened in Toronto evolved young offenders recently. Prevention is better than cure. When we provide the support to families and their children especially youth and teens, they would not suffer from mental health issues. Many behaviour problem would be identified earlier and provided guidance to them. Currently there are no funding to continue our prevention programs and we all rely on fundraising and donation to keep it going. thank you very much for your support in many ways.
